Building a deck? We're here to help!

Join members of the City's building department for a before-you-build deck workshop on Saturday, May 5. This workshop will cover the permit process, design considerations, zoning and fees for building a deck in Kingston.
"This workshop is designed to be a helpful how-to for residents looking to build a deck this spring," says Lisa Capener-Hunt, chief building official. "We will go through how to apply for a permit and the zoning process to make sure your deck building project is safe and in compliance with City bylaws."
The workshop begins at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 5 at the Cataraqui Arena, main floor conference room, 1030 Sunnyside Rd.
