August 10, 2017 -
Celebrate the completion of upgrades to the Memorial Centre playground this Sunday, Aug. 13 at 303 York St.
Join Councillor Jim Neill for the 11 a.m. ribbon-cutting – and then enjoy the playground and a free swim from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Tomlinson Aqua Park pool.
"I'm very glad that upgrades to Memorial Park at Kingston's Memorial Centre are completed. This iconic spot in the heart of Kingston's midtown is an area filled with recreation activities, family fun events year round, and now a new and improved playground for the community to enjoy!" says Mayor Paterson.
The Memorial Centre playground now has new play equipment, paths, seating, picnic tables and trees.
Remember to visit the Memorial Centre Market while you are there – it's operating from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. as usual.
