null City and INVISTA Canada renew naming rights agreement
June 5, 2019 -
The City of Kingston and INVISTA Canada officially renewed the naming rights agreement for the INVISTA Centre at a 3 p.m. signing ceremony. The City's four-pad arena at 1350 Gardiners Rd. will continue to sport the company's name for the next five years at a cost of $220,000.
"I'm delighted to sign a new agreement to extend the naming rights for the INVISTA Centre, in recognition of the continued partnership between the City and one of its most important local employers" says Mayor Bryan Paterson. "The INVISTA Centre has become a community fixture and is a fantastic facility where we can offer an array programming that everyone can enjoy!"
INVISTA Canada has held the naming rights on the building since it opened in 2008.
"INVISTA Kingston is pleased to renew the main naming rights for the INVISTA Centre with our partner, the City of Kingston," said INVISTA Kingston site manager, Dennis McAllister. "The INVISTA Centre represents for INVISTA a major investment in the youth of our community, and it also highlights our continued partnership with the City of Kingston. As a LEED gold certified facility, the INVISTA Centre is focused on using energy wisely by reducing waste, reducing its energy footprint and using resources efficiently - many of the same principles that INVISTA employs in its manufacturing operations in Kingston."
