City and Utilities Kingston schedules affected by Labour Day holiday

The Labour Day holiday on Monday, Sept. 4 will create some schedule changes to municipal and utility services:
Garbage, green bin and recycling: No collection Monday and collection moves to the day after your normal pick-up day for the rest of the week. Sign-up to be reminded what to put out when at www.CityofKingston.ca/Collection. The Kingston Area Recycling Centre is also closed Monday.
Kingston Transit: All buses will run on a Sunday schedule on Monday – except for the Route 18 which will run on a weekday schedule. Please note: Kingston Transit will extend their Sunday and holiday service on all Express Routes and Routes 1, 7 and 15 to match Saturday service starting Sept. 10. Plan your bus trip with Google Transit: www.kingstontransit.ca/tripplanner.
Kingston Access Services: Operates with limited service Monday. Call 613-542-2512.
Administrative offices: All administrative offices, including housing and social services and provincial offences are closed Monday.
Utilities Kingston and Kingston Hydro: Closed Monday. In the event of a utility emergency, such as a gas smell, power outage or a water main break, call the Utilities Kingston 24-hour number at 613-546-1181. Hydro One electricity customers in the west and east ends can call 1-800-434-1235. Union Gas customers can call 1-877-969-0999. Remember: for electricity used on weekends and holidays, electricity prices are off-peak.
Tomlinson Aqua Park, splash pads and wading pool: Open Monday. Labour Day is the last day of the summer schedule at Tomlinson Aqua Park (see the September schedule at www.CityofKingston.ca/waterpark). Splash pads are open until Sept. 17. The McBurney Park Wading Pool closes for the season at 4 p.m. on Sept. 1.
INVISTA Centre/ Fitness & Wellness Centre, Artillery Park Aquatic Centre and arenas: Closed Monday. NOTE: Artillery Park Aquatic Centre is closed for seasonal maintenance from Sept. 5 to 17.
CaraCo Home Field: Closed Monday.
Libraries: All branches of the Kingston Frontenac Public Library are closed Monday.
Confederation Basin and Portsmouth Olympic Harbour marinas: The Confederation Basin Marina office is open. The fueling stations are open at Portsmouth Olympic Harbour, but the office will be closed Monday.
Grand Theatre Box Office: Closed Monday.
MacLachlan Woodworking Museum and Pump House Steam Museum: Closed. Sunday, Sept. 3 is the last day of the MacLachlan Woodworking Museum's regular operating season (it will open for planned activities, see woodworkingmuseum.ca). The Pump House Steam Museum moves to fall/winter hours after Labour Day (see steammuseum.ca).
