City invites residents to zone in to Zoning 101

You may know that zoning bylaws have something to do with building – but what exactly do they regulate and who do they affect?

Before the first draft of the city-wide Zoning Bylaw is released, the City of Kingston is holding Zoning 101 on Wednesday Oct. 12 from 2:30 to 4 p.m. or 6:30 to 8 p.m. at 1211 John Counter Blvd.

Learn the zoning bylaw basics and get a better understanding of:

  • what zoning bylaws do and do not regulate
  • the legislation that allows municipalities to pass zoning bylaws
  • how applications for a zoning bylaw amendments are reviewed
  • the meaning of various sections of a zoning bylaw

To register, email NewZBL@cityofkingston.ca with your preferred time. Seating is limited, so register early. You will receive an email confirmation with further details and instructions.
