null City launches Together, at Home: COVID-19 to help residents connect and share online resources

March 25, 2020 -

Today the City launched Together, at Home to help residents stay connected with each other online during COVID-19. Visit Together, at Home: COVID-19 on the Get Involved Kingston platform.

Use Together, at Home to:

  • Share positive stories how you are helping others while being physically apart;
  • Contribute creative ideas for making the most of staying at home;
  • Provide accurate information, links and videos on available COVID-19 resources; and
  • Ask for help with essential needs.

“We know that residents are coming up with creative ways to spend their time while staying home and staying safe,” says Jen Pinarski, Communications Officer with the City of Kingston. “Residents and businesses are coming together across Kingston to overcome the challenges COVID-19 presents. Together, at Home provides meaningful community interaction – all from the safety of home.”

Health authorities advise all residents to practice physical distancing (social distancing), a public health strategy to limit physical closeness and interaction to minimize the spread of COVID-19. Strategies include, but are not limited to:

  • Leaving at least 2 metres between yourself and others
  • Staying at home and avoiding all non-essential errands
  • Refraining from attending social gatherings
