City Posts Summer Job Listings For Students

February 22, 2013 -

Students searching for summer jobs should begin with the City of Kingston, which has now posted approximately 200 summer jobs (in more than 40 different positions) at CityofKingston.ca/careers.

"Students can obtain jobs in their field of study and seasonal positions that will provide them valuable experience with an excellent employer," says Patricia Burns, Director of Human Resources & Organization Development. The available positions pay between $10.25 and $15.50 an hour.

To be eligible for the positions, students must be enrolled in full-time study at a secondary or post secondary educational institution and be returning to full-time attendance in September 2013.

The City's new e-Recruitment system, accessed at CityofKingston.ca/careers, allows applicants to create an online profile. They may attach their resumes and other supporting documents to their profiles, including details about their work experience, education and skills. Once a profile is created, students can apply to posted City of Kingston positions with a click of the mouse.

Students must apply online by Friday, March 15. The City thanks all those who apply, however, only those selected for further consideration will be contacted.
