null City’s Bylaw Enforcement gets first e-Bike
July 18, 2013 -
The City has added an e-bike to its Bylaw Enforcement fleet to help its Officers efficiently cover territory – and demonstrate the advantages of this environmentally-friendly form of travel.
"Our by-law officers need to get around the community and the e-bike is a great opportunity to do that, without emitting greenhouse gases," said Mayor Mark Gerretsen. "This e-bike is a great example of how we continue to look for new ways to reach our community goal to become Canada's most sustainable city."
The e-bike, one of two that will be bought this year, joins the City's bicycle fleet being used to patrol a wider parking and general bylaw enforcement area. The e-bike will also appear at community education events.
