City seeking comments on Fairway Hill Park improvements

November 14, 2018 –

The City of Kingston will be making improvements to Fairway Hill Park, including landscaping, seating areas, an accessible pathway and a children's play area.

Draft design concepts and options for children's play equipment have been posted in the park at 170 Fairway Hill Cres. and online at GetInvolved.CityofKingston.ca. Feedback received will be used to finalize the park design and determine the type of children's play equipment to be installed. The deadline to submit feedback is 4 p.m., Monday, Nov. 26.

Fairway Hill Park was identified for improvements by residents and City staff in 2011 and the park improvements project was approved by council in 2013. The City acknowledges project funding in part from the Polson Estate through The Hannah Washburn, Neil Currie Polson Trust for Garden Beauty Open Spaces for the City of Kingston.

For accessibility feedback related to the project, please contact Laurie Paquin at lpaquin@cityofkingston.ca (in accordance with Ontario Regulation 191/11).
