City Seeks Input on Proposed Concept for Upgrades to Memorial Centre’s Front Yard

May 27, 2013 -

Residents are being urged to take a quick survey on the proposed conceptual design plan for upgrades to the Alfred and York Street corner of the Memorial Centre grounds.

The Kingston Memorial Centre Gardens are located south of the Memorial Centre, between the main entrance and where the Kingston Hockey Hall of Fame was previously located.

The City is looking to renovate this space and is proposing a new park layout that seeks to:

  • increase the play area,
  • add a central walkway from the corner of Alfred and York Streets,
  • include a community garden

Citizens can offer their feedback on the proposed concept and "Get Involved" in the process by completing a survey at: www.cityofkingston.ca/city-hall/get-involved
