City seeks input on upgrades to playground at Rotary Park

August 21, 2013 -

Residents are invited to complete a survey on the playground areas at Rotary Park. The survey results will guide the design and development of proposed playground improvements. A conceptual design will be available for the public to review at an information session to be held this fall.

Rotary Park is a waterfront park located in the west end of the City, adjacent to the Lemoine Point Conservation Area. This community park is home to one of the City's off-leash dog areas and offers a scenic view of Collins Bay. Improvements to the park may include:

  • A new layout for the play areas
  • New play equipment
  • New playground surface
  • Accessible pathways & seating
  • Tree planting and landscaping

Citizens are encouraged to "Get Involved" by completing the survey at: www.cityofkingston.ca/city-hall/get-involved
