null City seeks nominations for Livable City Design Awards
May 1, 2017 -
The City is seeking building project nominees for this year's Livable City Design Awards.
"Well-designed buildings and developments improve the beauty and function of a city. These awards celebrate the efforts of those building projects that demonstrate excellence in urban design and architecture and really have a positive impact on Kingston," says Greg Newman, manager, policy planning.
Nominations will be accepted until June 15 for projects located within Kingston and completed between January 1, 2014 and December 31, 2016.
Nomination application forms can be found at www.CityofKingston.ca/LivableCity and are also available at City Hall, 216 Ontario St. and 1211 John Counter Blvd.
Anyone can nominate an eligible building project, but this awards program will be especially interesting to architects, designers, planners, landscape architects, engineers, developers, contractors, consultants and property owners who are proud of their design solutions.
All nominations will be reviewed by a professional jury panel, and awards will be presented at a ceremony in the fall of 2017. Further recognition from the City will be provided in various media after the awards.
