City to broadcast 2019 NBA Finals

June 5, 2019 –

June 13 (Game 6) update: Game on! The broadcast of the NBA Finals has been moved to the Memorial Centre, 303 York St. Tip off is at 9 p.m. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.

Basketball fans: this is the news you've been waiting for! The City of Kingston, in partnership with COGECO and YOURTV, Tourism Kingston and Downtown Kingston, will present the broadcasts of the 2019 NBA Finals between the Toronto Raptors and Golden State Warriors.

All broadcastf the games will be take place in Springer Market Square (weather permitting).

  • Game 1: Thursday, May 30 at 9 p.m. – Golden State at Toronto
  • Game 2: Sunday, June 2 at 8 p.m. – Golden State at Toronto
  • Game 3: Wednesday, June 5 at 9 p.m. – Toronto at Golden State
  • Game 4: Friday, June 7 at 9 p.m. – Toronto at Golden State
  • Game 5: Monday, June 10 at 9 p.m. - Golden State at Toronto
    • Venue change: broadcast will take place at the Leon's Centre, 1 Tragically Hip Way.
  • Game 6: Thursday, June 13 at 9 p.m. - Toronto at Golden State
    • Venue change: broadcast will take place at the Memorial Centre, 303 York St.

Details about the broadcast of Game 7 will be shared closer to game time. Updates will be shared on the City's social media channels and our website at www.CityofKingston.ca/explore/nba-finals.

Plan your evening:

  • Bring your own lawn chairs.
  • Residents are reminded that the Memorial Centre is a smoke-free and alcohol-free space. 
  • The broadcast will be closed captioned.
  • Weather may impact the equipment we use to broadcast the games. Cancellations will be posted on our website and on Facebook and Twitter.

How to get to Springer Market Square:

  • Driving to Springer Market Square? Plan to carpool, and check available surface parking lots at CityofKingston.ca/Parking
