Comment invited on third draft of Official Plan Update

Comment on the third draft of the Official Plan Update – the plan that shapes our city – at an upcoming open house or public meeting.

"The Official Plan Update affects every area of Kingston, so it's important we take every opportunity to get it right," says Paige Agnew, director of planning, building and licensing services.

During the open house and public meeting, a priority matrix will be presented to show how the City of Kingston has responded to public feedback and incorporated it into this third draft of the Official Plan Update. Key areas of revision will be highlighted in addition to a review of plan schedules.

Learn more and provide comments about the Official Plan update, third draft:

  • Come to the Official Plan Update open house at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, May 4 at Memorial Hall, City Hall, 216 Ontario St.  The comment and response matrix and a summary of revisions will be presented at 6:30 p.m.
  • Come to a planning committee meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 19 in Council Chambers at City Hall.

Borrowers' copies of the third draft of the Official Plan Update are available from 1211 John Counter Blvd.

Viewing copies will be available at City Hall and the following branches of the Kingston Frontenac Public Library: Kingscourt, Isabel Turner, Pittsburgh and Calvin Park.
