Community input invited on Rural Parks Development

July 7, 2014 -

The City is holding an Open House to gather input on the role of rural parks and how they should be developed to meet rural community expectations.

The Open House is set for 7 p.m. on Monday, July 14 at the Joyceville Fire Hall, 1648 Joyceville Rd.

"There are over 40 parks outside of the City's urban boundary. We are seeking input from residents on what they value in these parks and what recreation needs are desired," says Neal Unsworth, Manager, Parks Development.

This is the second of two community consultations on the development of rural parks.  The first was held on June 23, 2014.
