null Deadline approaches to apply to work the 2018 Municipal Election

Interested in working for the 2018 municipal election? Time is running out to apply before the deadline of Friday, Sept. 7.
Employment applications for site supervisors, deputy returning officers, machine operators and greeters/demonstrators to work at voting places on Advance Voting Day, Saturday, Oct. 13 and on Voting Day, Monday, Oct. 22 are open until 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 7. Please allow 45 minutes to complete an online test with the application.
The positions offer the following rates of pay (the training session is included in this fee):
- Site supervisors – $249 per day
- Deputy returning officers – $225 per day
- Machine operators – $200 per day
- Greeters/demonstrators – $200 per day
Applications, detailed job descriptions and a full list of qualifications can be found via the "Employment" button at www.CityofKingston.ca/Elections. Successful applicants will be required to attend a mandatory training session which will be scheduled in late September to early October.
