Double your fitness with the City's Wellness Pass
August 25, 2016 -
Enjoy the benefits of accessing two modern fitness facilities for one affordable price when you purchase a City of Kingston Wellness Pass.
The annual pass gives residents access to the fitness facilities at both INVISTA Centre and Artillery Park Aquatic Centre, including the pools, sauna, gymnasium, cardio and weight room, drop-in fitness and aqua fit classes.
"As the weather turns cooler in the fall, we know people tend to take their workouts indoors. The Wellness Pass gives you access to your favourite exercise equipment, plus exciting drop-in classes to jump start your fitness routine," says Paul Turner, assistant supervisor, recreation programs.
Introduced in 2014, the Wellness Passes are especially popular with residents who live or work downtown or in the west end of Kingston.
Rev-up your fall by making use of the fitness equipment and drop-in programming. Here are just a few examples of how you can work toward a healthy and fit lifestyle:
- Taking morning yoga or Quick Fit 4 Lunch class at Artillery Park
- Trying an after-work Cycle Fit class or weekend Body Sculpt and Core class at the INVISTA Fitness Centre
- Swimming laps or taking aquafit at Artillery Park
- Working out on your own time using the cardio, weight and other fitness equipment at both facilities
- Playing drop-in badminton, ball hockey or pickleball.
An Adult Wellness Pass is $400 per year, which works out to less than $34 per month. Youth and Senior passes are $320 per year – which works out to only $27 a month. Passes can be purchased at the customer service counter at INVISTA Centre, 1350 Gardiners Rd., or Artillery Park Aquatic Centre, 382 Bagot St.
