Election nominations deadline is 2 p.m. Friday

It's not too late to run for municipal office. All candidates must have their nomination papers in to the Election Office at City Hall by 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 12 – Nomination Day. That's your last chance to have your name added to the 2014 Municipal Election ballot to run to become Mayor, City Councilor or School Board Trustee.
Candidates can put up their election signs starting at 2:01 p.m. Friday after nominations have closed.*
Interested? Go to www.CityofKingston.ca/city-hall/elections/candidates to review qualifications for candidacy and the nominations process and download the required forms. Or visit the Elections Office on the first floor of City Hall at 216 Ontario St. during business hours.
Electors will vote in a new Mayor, City Council and School Boards on October 27.
