Free Additional Blue Boxes For Pick-up
March 4, 2013 -
If your household has yet to pick up its additional free Blue Box, the City still has some available.
In December of 2012 about 5,000 Kingston households took the City up on its offer of a free additional Blue Box to accommodate recyclables.
"It's great to see residents making good use of Blue Boxes and we know some households need more than one. This offer is about making sure any item that can be diverted from landfill using the Blue Box is put in a Blue Box," says Derek Ochej, Public Education Coordinator.
The Blue Boxes (one allowed per address) can be picked up at the Kingston Area Recycling Centre (KARC) at 196 Lappan's Lane open Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
