Friday Traffic Report

February 28, 2014 -

Below is a list of traffic delays and event closures that will impact traffic flow including an advisory from Public Works and Government Service Canada regarding the La Salle Causeway.

Traffic Delays

Princess St. will experience delays between Bath Rd. and Regent St. until the end of March while Bell Canada upgrades infrastructure in advance of the Williamsville reconstruction project.

Princess St. will also experience delays between Drayton Ave. and Macdonnell St. starting early March until mid- April while crews do preliminary work for the Williamsville reconstruction.

Event Closures

King Street will be closed between The Tragically Hip Way to Place d'Armes to accommodate events at the Rogers K-Rock Centre on the following dates:

  • Friday, Mar. 7 from 2 p.m. to midnight for the Kingston Frontenac's Game

La Salle Causeway

Public Works and Government Service Canada has advised that inspection work will require of the following closures and delays at the La Salle Causeway (weather permitting):

  • Saturday, Mar. 8 the bridge will be completely closed from 7 to 9 a.m. and periodically closed at approximately five minute intervals from 9 a.m. to noon
  • Sunday, Mar. 9 the bridge will be completely closed overnight from 12:01 a.m. (midnight) to 6 a.m. and periodically closed at approximately five minute intervals from 8 a.m. to noon
  • Monday, Mar. 10 the bridge will be completely closed overnight 12:01 a.m. (midnight) to 6:00 a.m.
