Friday Traffic Report

KINGSTON, ONT. / April 5, 2013

Please see below for a list of road construction projects and events that are expected to have an impact on traffic flow next week, including two notice issued by Public Work and Government Services Canada.

PRINCESS STREET RECONSTRUCTION:

  • Princess Street is closed between King and Wellington until mid-June.
  • Princess Street is closed between Bagot and Wellington until late June. The intersection of Princess and Wellington will remain open until further notice.
  • King Street is closed between Princess and Queen until mid-April.
  • Motorists can expect delays and lane restrictions at the intersection of Queen and King until mid-April.

JOHN COUNTER BLVD. TRAFFIC DELAYS

  • Motorists can expect delays on John Counter Blvd. between Division and Aberfoyle Road, including the intersection of Sir John A. Macdonald Blvd. until mid-August.

OTHER TRAFFIC DELAYS
Raglan Road will experience delays between Montreal and Rideau until early June while crews re complete the reconstruction of the road

Markland Street will experience delays between Montreal and Patrick until early June while crews re complete the reconstruction of the road.

Montreal Street will experience delays between Markland and Raglan until early June while crews re complete the reconstruction of the road.

EVENT CLOSURES

  • King Street will be closed between Barrack and Place d'Armes on Tuesday, April 9 for the Billy Talent Show.
  • King Street will be closed between Barrack and Place d'Armes on Friday, April 12 for Great Big Sea.

LASALLE CAUSEWAY - CLOSURES OVERNIGHT
Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) wishes to advise motorists and pedestrians of upcoming closures for vehicular and pedestrian traffic on the LaSalle Causeway. The closures will take place overnight between April 5 - 6, 2013, between 9:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.

These closures are required to test and calibrate new lift operation control systems for the bascule bridge. The schedule may change due to inclement weather.

Safety is a top priority for PWGSC and we are committed to ensuring the continued integrity of the bridges we manage. We apologize for any inconvenience these traffic restrictions may cause and thank everyone for their understanding.

LASALLE CAUSEWAY - OVERNIGHT LANE RESTRICTIONS AND TEMPORARY CLOSURES
Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) wishes to advise motorists and pedestrians of upcoming lane restrictions and temporary closures that may result in short delays for vehicular traffic overnight between April 2 - 12, 2013, on the LaSalle Causeway.

These restrictions will allow for testing of the traffic control systems and lifting mechanisms. The schedule may change due to inclement weather.

Safety is a top priority for PWGSC and we are committed to ensuring the continued integrity of the bridges we manage. We apologize for any inconvenience these traffic restrictions may cause and thank everyone for their understanding.
