null Give feedback on children's programming in Kingston and Frontenac County
March 27, 2017 -
Parents and caregivers can offer their feedback on child and family-centred programs and services offered in Kingston and the County of Frontenac by participating in a survey on the City's website at www.CityofKingston.ca/GetInvolved.
The survey is open March 27 to April 21. People who complete the survey may choose to have their names entered into a draw for a $100 pre-paid VISA gift card.
The survey results will help guide the new Ontario Early Years Child and Family Centres.
"It is an exciting time for Ontario's childcare and early years' system as parents and caregivers will have the opportunity to shape the programs and services available in the region," says Laura Austin, supervisor, childcare and homemaking programs.
Currently, programs and services are offered through Better Beginnings, Ontario Early Years Centres and Parenting and Family Literacy Centres. The Ministry of Education has made a commitment to integrate and transform these programs into a unified program with new centres to be managed by the City's childcare programs division.
