null Grade 12 students: ride transit for free this summer
June 18, 2015 -
If you were in Grade 12 for the 2014-15 school year, you can ride Kingston Transit FREE this summer from Canada Day to Labour Day.
"Riding the bus is an environmentally-friendly and active way to get around. We want young people to become familiar with using Kingston Transit and see how easy it is to travel around the city on the new express routes," says Jeremy Dacosta, manager of Kingston Transit.
Pick-up your free summer bus pass at your school before graduation
Grade 12s can pick up their free summer bus passes at their own schools during the week of June 22. Students can check with their school for details starting Monday. The passes will only be available at the schools until Grade 12 graduation (the passes will be unavailable for pick-up after that).
This offer is also being extended to home-schooled students in Grade 12. They are asked to call Kingston Transit through the City's customer service line at 613-546-0000 (staffed weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.).
Starting in August, all Grade 9 to 12 students in Kingston will be eligible to apply for or renew the free transit pass for 2015/16. Stay tuned for more information later this summer.
