The Grand Theatre is proud to present three free public performances on Friday nights throughout the summer. As part of the City of Kingston and Downtown Kingston's initiatives to animate Springer Market Square for both visitors and residents, the Grand Theatre Presents the following free shows:
Friday, July 19, 8pm, Springer Market Square – Classic Albums Live presents AC/DC's Back in Black. For ten years, Classic Albums Live has paid homage to the most legendary albums of the history of rock and recreates them note for note, cut for cut live on stage. They have performed numerous times as part of the Grand Theatre Presents series over the past five year, performing the most iconic albums from Led Zeppelin, Bob Marley, Pink Floyd and other rock legends. For the opening night of the Rock in the Square Series, Classic Albums Live will perform AC/DC's Back in Black. This performance is sponsored by K-Rock 105.7.
Friday, August 2, 8pm, Springer Market Square – 54-40. Celebrating the start of a summer long weekend, Canadian rock legends 54-40 will perform live. With more than thirty years of performing across the world, the band will perform hits like "Ocean Pearl", "Baby Ran","I Go Blind" and a mix of tunes from their extensive repertoire. This performance is sponsored by FM 96.
Friday, August 16, 8pm, Springer Market Square –The Trews Acoustic Show. Revered Canadian rockers The Trews are returning to the road in support of their latest album, "…thank you and I'm sorry". But while the band has built its reputation belting their high-energy, arena-ready rock anthems from stages across the globe, this time out, audiences will get a glimpse of a different side of this multi-faceted foursome with an acoustic show. This performance is sponsored by K-Rock 105.7.
