Green thumbs: register now for Kingston Blooms

Calling all green thumbs: it's time you received the kudos you deserve for keeping Kingston beautiful.
"Kingston Blooms is all about recognizing the efforts of those who put their hearts and souls into lining our streets and neighbourhoods with gorgeous plants and flowers. We truly enjoy the fruits of their labour and they deserve our thanks," says Sue Hitchcock, special events coordinator for the City of Kingston.
Enter your garden in the annual Kingston Blooms best kept garden awards competition today:
- Choose the "Get Involved" button on the front of the City's website to find a link to the entry page – or go to: www.CityofKingston.ca/city-hall/get-involved/kingston-blooms .
- Fill in the online form and upload a picture of your garden.
- The deadline for entry is midnight Friday, July 10.
Kingstonians will vote for their favourite gardens in each category online from July 20 to 31. The top three gardens in each category will be visited by Kingston Blooms' volunteer judges between August 10 and 21 (a professional photographer may also visit).
The Kingston Blooms awards will be given out on September 17.
