Help determine Community Indicators to measure quality-of-life in Kingston
June 4, 2018 -
The City of Kingston is seeking people interested in participating in a online survey or focus group to help prioritize the top 10 Kingston Community Indicators – and offer a snapshot measure of Kingston's success in becoming a healthy place to live.
Many communities across Canada have been adopting high-level, objective, quality-of-life indicators to help improve analysis of community efforts, identify issues, guide policy and service changes, develop new initiatives – and offer a way of comparing Kingston's efforts with those of other municipalities with such measures.
"The community indicators will help us show where Kingston is making progress and identify areas where improvements are needed. We want the public's help ensuring we are choosing the right measures and that we haven't left anything out," says Cheryl Hitchen, manager, social policy & strategic community development.
