Information sessions on Williamsville construction

Members of the public are invited to attend their choice of two sessions being held to provide information on the impact of construction during Phase I of the Williamsville Revitalization project – from the intersection of Bath Road/Concession Street to Macdonnell Street.  Construction will also take place on side streets in this area, including on:

  • Drayton Avenue from Princess Street to Concession Street
  • Tower Street from Princess Street to the north limit
  • Frontenac Street from Jenkins Street to York Street
  • Albert Street from Princess Street to 60 m north of Mack Street

The two times are being offered to accommodate both the residents and business owners in the Williamsville area.

WHEN: Two information sessions are set for Wednesday, Sept. 25:

  1. 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
  2. 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

WHERE: Princess Street United Church, 484 Albert St.

WHO: City and Utilities Kingston Staff

WHAT: An overview of upcoming construction plans to revitalize Williamsville.

Construction to improve Williamsville's Main Street – the stretch of Princess Street between Division Street and Bath Road/Concession Street – begins with Phase 1 in 2014. Williamsville's roadway, sewer and utility infrastructure, sidewalks, boulevards and street furniture and lighting will all be rebuilt as part of this project. Residents and business owners in this area have been directly informed of the information sessions.
