Interested in running for Councillor for District 1 - Countryside?

The City of Kingston will host a candidates' information session on:

Date:  Wednesday, March 1, 2017
Time:  7 p.m. – 9 p.m.
Location:  Glenburnie Fire Hall, 1485 Unity Rd., Glenburnie, ON K0H 1S0

All members of the public, registered candidates, and those individuals thinking of running in the 2017 municipal byelection on Monday, May 15, 2017, are invited to attend.

The purpose of the session is to provide information to candidates and the public regarding:

  • The City's governance model (including the role of the councillor for District 1 – Countryside)
  • The municipal byelection process (including rules and regulations regarding campaign finances)
  • The orientation, time commitment and remuneration associated with becoming a councillor

Please note that this is not a candidates' debate forum.
