INVISTA Retains Naming Rights to Multiplex

March 20, 2013 -

The City has again awarded INVISTA Canada the naming rights to the City's west end multiplex.

INVISTA Canada became the original naming rights partner on the popular multi-pad arena and fitness facility in 2008. That contract offered the rights to INVISTA for $221,025 for five years and did not include a renewal clause. As the term was up, the City issued a new request for proposal for the facility's naming rights and sponsorship this January. Last night Council officially approved the new contract effectively extending INVISTA Canada's sponsorship of the facility for another five years for $220,000.

"We are pleased to have INVISTA once again making a contribution toward a great community asset," said Mayor Mark Gerretsen.

"The INVISTA Centre is a wonderful recreation complex serving the citizens of Kingston and a source of pride for our employees. We are very pleased to be associated with this first class facility for another five years," says INVISTA Kingston Site Manager, Steve Kimpton.

The INVISTA Centre is home to four NHL-sized ice pads, the Fitness & Wellness Centre, the original Hockey Hall of Fame, and is home to both Skate Kingston and the Kingston Voyageurs.
