KARC construction to cause drop-off delays

August 6, 2013 -

Residents are being advised to avoid dropping off recyclables at the Kingston Area Recycling Centre (KARC) between August 12 and 19.

The truck scale at KARC is being upgraded and this will cause delays for those dropping off recyclables, as traffic will need to be controlled on-site and the weight of recyclables will need to be estimated by KARC staff. The City is required to weigh all recyclables entering the facility for reporting purposes.

Recyclables from commercial, industrial and institutional (IC&I) customers will not be accepted at KARC from August 12 to August 19.
