null KEAF surveys residents’ environmental priorities
March 25, 2014 -
Kingston's Environmental Advisory Forum (KEAF) is seeking input in an online survey to help gauge residents' environmental priorities.
"Globally and locally, we are growing more and more aware of environmental concerns that require our attention and action. We need to focus our efforts to be effective. Identifying the public's environmental priorities will help guide our approach," says Viviane Paquin, the Chair of KEAF, which advises and assists the City and Council on environmentally-related matters.
KEAF's Environmental Priorities survey at www.CityofKingston.ca/getinvolved gauges your level of concern on a wide array of global and local environmental issues. You may also request a copy of the survey by mail at 613-546-0000. Input will be collected until Monday, April 14.
"Now is the time to let us know where you think the City should be concentrating its attention and resources toward environmental improvement," says Paul MacLatchy, Director, Environment and Sustainable Initiatives. He says the City plans to report on the results of the KEAF Environmental Priorities survey on Earth Day, April 22.
