Kingston Gets Active Month encourages healthy living with 151 free activities

Improve your health by trying a new sport or participating in a wellness challenge during Kingston Gets Active Month. The event offers 151 free activities from Sept. 2 to 30 at facilities throughout the city.
The City of Kingston is one of many community organizations offering free activities during the month-long campaign.
"Kingston Gets Active encourages residents of all ages to try new ways to get moving and have fun doing it," says Lynda Breen, supervisor, recreation programs.
During Kingston Gets Active, you can:
- Try a new sport such as fencing, swimming, yoga, curling, cheerleading, kickboxing or skating.
- Like Kingston Gets Active on Facebook to receive daily updates on free activities being offered. www.facebook.com/KingstonGetsActive.
- Borrow a free Play Kit from the KGA Play Library.
