July 25, 2017 -
The Kingston Sheep Dog Trials Festival returns to Grass Creek Park for a weekend of doggone family fun! Named a Top 100 event by Festivals and Events Ontario, the Trials will take place Aug. 11 to 13 at Grass Creek Park, 2993 Highway 2 in Kingston. This year marks the 30th annual edition of the Trials and it is the largest festival of its kind in North America.
"This year is an exciting year at the Sheep Dog Trials Festival; we celebrate the 30th year of this event in Kingston and we are hosting the Canadian National Championships. I encourage everyone to make their way out to this three-day festival in beautiful Grass Creek Park to watch the competition and enjoy some family fun events!" said Mayor Bryan Paterson.
Buy your tickets online at TicketPro until Aug. 10 and pay $10 per person, a savings of $5 off the price of admission. Tickets at the gate are $15 per person. Kids under 12 are free.
Travel to and from the Trials is easy with the free shuttle bus, departing from the Toys R Us parking lot, the Kingston Memorial Centre and the Marriott Hotel at Kings Crossing. Buses are dog-friendly as long as your dog is on a leash. Limited parking is available at Grass Creek Park.
