null Kingston Transit offers tips for boarding at icy bus stops
January 9, 2014 -
While many bus stops have been cleared and sanded, there are many that remain slippery and icy affecting accessibility. Kingston Transit is offering this guidance to riders facing icy conditions at bus stops:
- Exercise caution, especially as the bus is approaching a stop. Do not move to board the bus until it has stopped.
- At certain times, the bus may stop prior to or after a posted stop if a more accessible boarding area is available. Please use caution and follow any guidance provided by the bus operator.
City crews continue to work to address the conditions at all bus stops within the system, but this will take some time.
Crews are now focusing on the main transfer points and express stops.
