Kingston Transit supports The Salvation Army Food Drive
October 30, 2014 -
Kingston Transit is now collecting non-perishable food items aboard buses in support of The Salvation Army Community and Family Services' annual Christmas food drive.
"Canned meats, soups and vegetables, baby food and formula, and personal hygiene items are the priority items for this year's annual drive. We encourage all our riders to join Kingston Transit in helping make a difference in our community for those struggling with hardship especially during the holiday season," says Jeremy DaCosta, Manager, Kingston Transit.
The Salvation Army welcomes the continued support from Kingston Transit and their riders. The Salvation Army assists over 5,600 households in the Kingston area with basic needs and food. All food donations go towards helping those in need over the Christmas season and throughout the year.
Donations of canned goods and other non-perishable items can be dropped off on any bus until Friday, Dec. 19.
