Know someone who would make a Pan Am-azing torchbearer?
November 4, 2014 -
Who should light the cauldron when the 2015 Pan Am Games and Parapan Am Games Torch Relays arrive in Kingston next summer?
"We are looking for remarkable Kingstonians who will be great ambassadors for our community. The final torch bearers should be well known for their work in sport, cultural or civic activities and embody the characteristics of the Pan Am and Parapan Games: community, celebration, participation and pride," says Nancy Ruel, Supervisor, Special Events & Marketing.
If you know a Pan Am-azing person, please go to www.CityofKingston/GetInvolved to review the criteria for nominations and submit your choice for the final Kingston torch bearers. The deadline for submissions is 11:59 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 1.
The local Pan Am Torch Relay Committee will review all applicants and select those who best exemplify the principles established by the Committee.
