"This is another affordable housing initiative. Down payment assistance can provide an affordable option for households interested in home ownership. This information session and the City's Home Ownership program are aimed at helping people find an affordable way into the housing market," says Lanie Hurdle, Commissioner of Community Services. She notes that CMHC will be offering information on the financial requirements and responsibilities associated with home ownership which may benefit any prospective homeowner.
