null Mayor encourages Community to visit Blues Fest
August 22, 2013 -
Downtown Kingston will come alive with the sound of blues music this weekend as award-winning artists entertain our city. This weekend marks the 17th Annual Limestone City Blues Festival, a four day festival, August 22 to 25, offering the very best blues music has to offer.
The Limestone City Blues Festival continues to grow, attracting blues lovers, families and visitors every year. This exciting event is made possible by the Downtown Kingston! Business Improvement Area (BIA) as well as the many dedicated volunteers and community organizations who work hard each year in the preparation of this annual event.
The festival takes place primarily in outdoor venues located in the downtown core, with stages in Confederation Park, Princess Street at Barrie Street, and Springer Market Square. This years' festival will be headlined by Ana Popovic at the Springer Market Square Stage on Saturday, August 24, 2013. For more information on these artists and the full festival schedule visit www.kingstonblues.com
Residents who want to add some green to their weekend activities are encouraged to travel by transit, visit www.cityofkingston.ca/tripplanner for more information.
Wishing you a safe, fun and happy weekend.
