Mayor invites Kingstonians to offer congratulations to the Royal Family

July 23, 2013 -

Kingstonians celebrating the birth of first child of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge may offer their best wishes at the  Mayor's Office on the second floor of City Hall, 216 Ontario St.

"We want to let the Royal Family know we share in their joy. Bring in your congratulatory cards or letters to drop off in the box we have set up outside my office," says Mayor Mark Gerretsen. "We hope the family will some day visit Kingston as many of the Royals have done."

The Mayor will be extending an open invitation to the Duke and Duchess to visit Kingston. In the meantime, he invites residents to drop off congratulatory cards and letters and visit the Royal Walk at City Hall. The Royal Walk is a hallway gallery on the first floor of City Hall which documents the Royal Family's visits to Kingston.

Plan to get there by bus: www.CityofKingston.ca/tripplanner.
