November 21, 2017 -
North America's only coal miners chorus is preparing to take audiences on a journey like no other this holiday season with their unique brand of festive cheer. Men of the Deeps perform at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 28 at Kingston's The Grand Theatre.
"We're always busy performing during the holidays, so we do have some great holiday tunes in our repertoire. Those songs and stories are important to capture. Now we have them to share forever," says Stephen Muise, Men of the Deeps conductor.
This Men of the Deeps Christmas in the Mine show will take audiences underground, to share the true experience of celebrating Christmas in a real coal mine, jolly miner style.
"Those stories told by the men always hit home because they're not borrowed tall tales, but true stories that these miners have lived," says Muise.
The Men of the Deeps will perform at Kingston's Grand Theatre, in the Regina Rosen Auditorium. Tickets are available by calling 613-530-2050 or online at www.kingstongrand.ca
