null Monday is Final Voting Day in municipal election
October 24, 2014 -
If you haven't voted yet, plan to cast your ballot at your polling station in person on Monday, Oct. 27 between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m.
The City will post unofficial results on its website as they become available after 8 p.m. on Monday. Those election night results will also be broadcast on a screen in Memorial Hall, City Hall, 216 Ontario St.
More than 12,000 Kingstonians have already voted – that's about 14 per cent of the electorate:
- Approximately 9,000 voted remotely (online or by phone).
- Approximately 3,000 voted on the Advance Voting Day on October 18.
In the 2010 municipal election, 7,668 of the electorate voted ahead of the Final Voting Day.
Your Final Voting Day polling station is listed on your Voter Information Notice. Don't forget to bring the Notice with you when you go to vote along with acceptable identification, such as an Ontario driver's licence or health card (photo card).
Don't have a Voter Information Notice? You can still register to vote at the polls:
- Go to www.CityofKingston.ca/vote to check your eligibility and find a list of acceptable documents for voter identification to bring with you to the polling station.
- Select the green "In Person Voting" button and enter your address to find your polling station.
