Notice of Intention - Permanently Close and Declare Surplus Municipal Property – Unopened Road Allowance (1422 Woodbine Road)
Pursuant to the City's Public Notice Policy and the Disposition of Real Property Policy, take notice that the Council of The Corporation of the City of Kingston intends to stop up, close, and declare surplus the following municipal property:
Lands affected: Part of the original road allowance between Mile Square Lot Concession 2 and Lot 2 Concession 3 (Western Addition), in the former Township of Kingston, in the County of Frontenac, designated as Part 1 on Reference Plan 13R-4969.
Explanatory note: This portion of road allowance was conveyed to the owner of 1422 Woodbine Road on July 4, 1984 pursuant to Township of Kingston By-Law 84-30. The road was not formally closed at the time it was conveyed to the owner, resulting in the municipality retaining an unintended interest in the property. A bylaw to permanently close the road allowance is required to correct title to the property at 1422 Woodbine Road, which is still subject to the interest of the municipality.
City Council will consider this matter on September 3, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. at its regular meeting to be held in the Council Chamber, City Hall, Kingston.
Anyone wishing to be heard regarding this matter should contact the Clerk's Office or provide written comments before 4:30 p.m., August 30, 2019.
In the event that the matter is deferred, no further public notice will be given.
Dated at City of Kingston
