null Notice of intention to declare surplus and dispose of municipal property (Bailey Broom Factory)

Pursuant to the City's Public Notice Policy and the Disposition of Real Property Policy take notice that the council of the Corporation of the City of Kingston intends to declare surplus and dispose of the following municipal property:
Part of Lot 13 on Registered Plan B-3, City of Kingston, more particularly described as Part 2 on Plan 13R-20924, being 0.276 hectare of land municipally described as 305-323 Rideau St. Known as the Bailey Broom Factory, the property is designated under City of Kingston Bylaw 2015-19 as a property of cultural heritage value and interest.
Explanatory note: The municipal lands described above were subject to a request for proposal (RFP) to purchase and develop 305-323 Rideau St. in the City of Kingston, No. F31-CSI-RELD-2015-01. In February 2015, RAW Design Inc. qualified through a request for information (RFI) process as the sole proponent to be invited to submit a proposal to the RFP. Subject to council's approval of a successful proponent for the RFP, the property shall be sold for redevelopment.
City council will consider these matters on Sept. 20, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. at its regular meeting to be held in the Council Chambers, City Hall, 216 Ontario St., Kingston.
Anyone wishing to be heard regarding these matters should contact the clerk's office or provide written comments before 4:30 p.m., Sept. 16, 2016.
In the event that the matter is deferred, no further public notice will be given.
