null Notice of Intention to permanently close, declare surplus and dispose of municipal property
June 7, 2016 -
Pursuant to the City's Public Notice Policy and the Disposition of Real Property Policy take notice that the council of the Corporation of the City of Kingston intends to permanently close, declare surplus and dispose of the following municipal property:
Part Patrick Street on Registered Plan C-22, Kingston, more particularly described as Part 7 on Plan 13R-617 and Part 1 on Plan 13R-10581, and Part Depot Street on Registered Plan C-22, Kingston, more particularly described as Part 6 on Plan 13R-617 and Part 3 on Plan 13R-10581, and Part 2 on Plan 13R-10581.
The unopened portions of Patrick Street and Depot Street described above lie north of Railway Street on land currently owned by Weston Bakeries. A by-law to formally close the road allowances is required to correct title to the Weston property which was conveyed by the City in 1993. Both the unopened portions of road allowance and Part 2 on Plan 13R-10581 will be declared surplus to rectify the oversight of the City in 1993.
City Council will consider these matters on June 21, 2016 at 7:30 pm at its regular meeting to be held in the Council Chambers, City Hall, Kingston.
Anyone wishing to be heard regarding these matters should contact the Clerk's Office or provide written comments before 4:30 pm, June 17, 2016.
In the event that the matter is deferred, no further public notice will be given.
