Pursuant to the City's Public Notice Policy and the Disposition of Real Property Policy take notice that the City of Kingston intends to stop up, close, declare surplus and dispose of the following municipal property:
Lands affected: The unopened road allowance between Lots 25 and 26, Concession 5, in the former Geographic Township of Kingston, now City of Kingston more particularly described as Parts 3 and 4 on Reference Plan 13R-20623 and Parts 3, 4 and 5 on Reference Plan 13R-21013.
Explanatory note: The unopened road allowance extending north from Bur Brook Road to the intersection of Perth Road is proposed to be stopped up and closed as a public highway and sold to abutting land owners to address permanent encroachment issues created by a former quarry. A location map is available for review in the city clerk's office at City Hall during regular business hours.
City council will consider this matter on March 3, 2015 at 7:30 pm at its regular meeting to be held in the Council Chambers, City Hall, 216 Ontario St.
Anyone wishing to be heard regarding these matters should contact the city clerk's office or provide written comments before 4:30 pm, March 2, 2015.
In the event that the matter is deferred, no further public notice will be given.
