Notice of Intention to stop up, close, declare surplus and dispose of municipal property

February 2, 2016 -

Pursuant to the City's Public Notice Policy and the Disposition of Real Property Policy take notice that the council of the Corporation of the City of Kingston intends to stop up, close, declare surplus and dispose of the following municipal property:

Lands affected: Part Road Allowance between Lot 9 and Lot 10, Concession 1, Kingston, Part 6 on Registered Plan 13R-6888, being part of PIN 36004-0022.

Explanatory note: This is an unopened road allowance lying east of the Gardiners Town Centre located at 460 Gardiners Road with a frontage of approximately 40 feet on Bath Road and a depth of approximately 800 feet.  A by-law to formally close the road is required to correct title for the unopened road allowance that was conveyed to the Gardiners Shopping Centre owners in 1988 by the former Township of Kingston.

City council will consider this matter on February 16, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. at its regular meeting to be held in the Council Chamber, City Hall, Kingston.  Plans showing the affected lands are available for review at the address noted below during regular business hours.

Anyone wishing to be heard regarding these matters should contact the clerk's office or provide written comments before 4:30 p.m., February 12.

In the event that the matter is deferred, no further public notice will be given.
