null Notice of Open House - Review of Election Sign Bylaw
April 15, 2019 -
City council has directed staff to review the existing Election Sign Bylaw to clarify the policy of election signs on public property and to clearly restrict election signs bordering municipal parks or cemeteries. The purpose of this open house is to present information on the existing Election Sign Bylaw, proposed amendments to address the matters identified by council and to present options for further Bylaw amendments based on a best practices review of the bylaws in other Ontario municipalities.
In accordance with council's direction, a staff report and revised Election Sign Bylaw will be presented to the administrative policies committee by the end of Q2, 2019.
The public open house is to be held:
Tuesday, April 30
6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Calvin Park Branch Public Library
88 Wright Cres., Kingston
The open house will include a formal presentation at 6 p.m. followed by a question and answer period.
Interested persons may express their comments at the open house or in writing to George Wallace, senior special projects manager, 216 Ontario St., Kingston, ON, K7L 2Z3 or by email to email@example.com.
