Notices of intention to declare surplus and dispose of municipal property

July 27, 2015 -

Pursuant to the City's Public Notice Policy and the Disposition of Real Property Policy take notice that the council of The Corporation of the City of Kingston intends to declare surplus and dispose of the following municipal property:

Lands affected: Part Lot 24, Concession 2, City of Kingston, County of Frontenac, being all of PIN 36074 0167, known municipally as 15 Kirkpatrick St.

Explanatory note: This property serves as the Kingscourt Branch of the Kingston Frontenac Public Library. The branch will be relocated to the new Rideau Heights Community Centre. Once declared surplus, the lands are proposed to be sold at fair market value.

City council will consider this matter on August 11, at 7:30 p.m. at its regular meeting to be held in the Council Chambers, City Hall, Kingston. Plans showing the affected lands are available for review at the address noted below during regular business hours.

Anyone wishing to be heard regarding these matters should contact the clerk's office or provide written comments before 4:30 p.m., August 7.

In the event that the matter is deferred, no further public notice will be given.

Pursuant to the City's Public Notice Policy and the Disposition of Real Property Policy take notice that the council of The Corporation of the City of Kingston intends to stop up, close, declare surplus and dispose of the following municipal property:

Lands affected: Unnamed street lying between Lot 7 and Lot 8, north of road, on registered plan 60, except for Part 1 on Instrument FR689415, being all of PIN 36086 0129.

Explanatory note: This is an unopened road allowance lying west of 2268 Princess St. with a frontage of approximately 66 feet and a depth of 106 feet. Once closed, the lands are proposed to be sold to the abutting landowner(s) at fair market value.

City council will consider this matter on August 11, at 7:30 p.m. at its regular meeting to be held in the Council Chambers, City Hall, Kingston. Plans showing the affected lands are available for review at the address noted below during regular business hours.
