Offer input on Playground Improvements at West Park at pop-up in the park

May 10, 2018 -

The City of Kingston is planning improvements to the playgrounds at West Park, 1250 Acadia Dr., and is seeking input from residents at a pop-up event in the park 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 24.

"If you use the park, it's worth it to make a point of being there on May 24 to see the draft concepts, tell us what you think and help us refine planned improvements," says Neal Unsworth, manager, parks development.

Complete a short survey at the pop-up to let us know your preferences. City staff and landscape designers will be available to answer your questions.  Bring your children – we have activity bags!

Can't make the pop-up event? An online survey on the draft concepts will run from May 25 to June 8 at GetInvolved.CityofKingston.ca

Improvements to West Park may include:

  • Playground updates including new play equipment and safety surfacing.
  • Basketball pad updates

Construction to implement the final improvements is to begin in the fall.
