Para-athletes invited to apply to ParaSport Games Legacy fund

Are you a competitive athlete with a physical disability who lives in Kingston? If you are training to compete at the provincial level or higher, you may be eligible for support from the Ontario ParaSport Games 2013 Kingston legacy fund.
When the City of Kingston hosted the Ontario ParaSport Games in 2013, it set up a $50,000 legacy fund with surplus revenues from the games. The funds are to be used, in part, to support athletes with disabilities to pursue competitive goals. Funds are available for eligible individuals or teams.
Applications can be found at www.CityofKingston.ca/ParaSportFund and may be submitted before June 1. Funds will be awarded on July 15. The applications will be reviewed by John Munro and Murray Matheson who co-chair the fund on behalf of the City.
- be amateur athletes with physical disabilities training in competitive sport at the provincial level or beyond.
- live in the greater Kingston area. College and university students who live in Kingston but study outside of the city will be considered.
- be in good standing in their club/association.
